Keto Hot Chocolate by Noreen’s Keto Kitchen & Life!

  • Use peppermint extract instead of vanilla for a mint hot chocolate drink! yum =)
  • I sometimes use unsweetened chocolate almond milk instead of regular almond milk to really up the chocolate factor.
  • This is great as an iced drink as well; simply let it cool a bit and pour over ice. Enjoy!

Ingredients
  • 4 tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 3 tbsp Swerve, granulated (Erythritol/Monkfruit (Low Carb Sweetener))
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream (light cream or half & half is fine )
  • 2 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Instructions
  1. Stir the unsweetened cocoa powder and the Swerve sweetener together in a medium saucepan, breaking up any lumps.
  2. Turn on stovetop to medium-low heat, place saucepan with cocoa mixture on stove and whisk in the heavy cream slowly. Whisking until it is well incorporated.
  3. Slowly pour in the almond milk and whisk to blend well. Continue to heat over medium-low heat, whisking frequently, until the liquid is hot. Do NOT boil.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Pour into your favorite mug, garnish with whipped cream and drink up!
